Our research center continues to pursue its longstanding research focus on public value, but with a more international angle. Starting in January 2014 our current project aims to improve knowledge transfer between multiple European countries.
From 2008 to 2012 the Journalism Research Center at the Institute for Journalism & Media Management at the FHWien of WKW has extensively been concerned with public value in Austria, mainly with public value through public service broadcasting. Since January 2014 we are continuing and intensifying our previous research on media’s value for society in a new research project.
Our project “Public Value Goes International”, which runs for three years, is concerned with media’s public value and public service media across Europe. For that we are cooperating with partner from universities in Belgium, Germany, Finland and Great Britain.
