Between trust and distrust: This article examines the question how skeptical the young Austrians and Germans who participated in the “Public Value goes international” online survey are towards public service media. It also contrasts trust in public and commercial television news.
In the section below, several charts explain trust in the media among the survey participants in more detail. The data are based on quantitative research which was conducted in June and July 2016 and focused on expenses and willingness to pay for media in Austria and Germany. Roughly 1,650 participants from both countries took part in the survey.
