Within the project “Public Value goes international” the Journalism Research Center at the Department of Journalism & Media Management at FHWien der WKW concentrated on public service media structures in Europe.
Main objective of the project was to collect and analyze data concerning the public value of media. On the one hand, various documents were examined, e.g. annual reports or codes of conduct. On the other hand, new data were produced by conducting content analyses and audience surveys.
In the project, a cooperation network with university partners from Belgium, Germany, Finland and the United Kingdom was established. The partners from all participating universities and students worked together in research workshops and seminars. In doing so, international exchange and networking were encouraged.
The project “Public Value goes international” started on 1 January 2014 and lasted for three years. Each year involved several milestones which, implemented on time, guaranteed that the objectives in all fields of activities could have been achieved and secured by the end of the project in December 2016.
